The technique comes first, followed by the scene, action, performance and duration. Paste it straight into a video model and swap in your own characters and plot.

The camera is close to the ground looking up, the man in the upper part of the frame against the sky or a stairwell ceiling. At the entrance to a stairwell, a man in work clothes stops with two bags of cement, looking up at a sixth-floor window in a building with no elevator. Sweat drips from his chin as he calls upstairs, “Can you knock a bit off for the sixth floor?” Someone answers from above. 4 seconds, steady angle, no pan or shake, don't crop his feet.
04

Common pitfalls

  • Too steep an angle stretches and deforms the legs.
  • Add a wide lens on top and it becomes grotesquely distorted.
05

Parameter tips

15–30° upward angle; don't go to extreme angles close to straight up.
