The camera slowly travels forward, pushing from a medium shot of the person to a close shot of her face; the background recedes through real perspective change, not a zoom. A taxi late at night: the driver brings the car to a stop and turns to look at the girl in the back seat, who is clutching a crumpled hospital bill. He hesitates, then asks quietly, “Has the family signed?” She looks up without a word and just holds the bill closer to him. 4 seconds, constant speed, ending steady on the girl's eyes without cutting off the top of her head.

Common pitfalls
- Writing only “zoom in” gets read as a zoom: the image goes flat with no depth.
- Pushing in too fast feels like a crash.
- The face drifts or the features warp during the push.

Parameter tips
3–5 s; travel about 1/3 of the subject's height; leave room in the first frame, end tighter but don't cut off the top of the head.
