The technique comes first, followed by the scene, action, performance and duration. Paste it straight into a video model and swap in your own characters and plot.
The camera pushes forward so that a foreground object sweeps across the entire frame for a wipe transition. In a kitchen, a mother pushes a bowl of noodles toward the camera and the bottom of the bowl sweeps across the frame. When it clears, the scene has become a train station waiting hall, and the same bowl is held in a young man's hands. He takes a bite and says, “Still tastes the same.” 4 seconds; the wipe must fill the frame completely, and the light and color temperature of the two scenes should join naturally.
04
Common pitfalls
- The blocking object becomes an unrecognizable blob.
- The scene change after the wipe is too abrupt.
- The wipe doesn't cover everything and the seam shows.

Parameter tips
About 0.5 s of blocking; the object must have a clear form: a pillar, a passerby or a vehicle.
