The technique comes first, followed by the subject, scene, details and aspect ratio. Paste it straight into an image model and swap in your own subject.
Silhouette photography: on seaside rocks at sunset, a father lifts his child above his head against a bright orange-red sky and a sun half sunk into the sea. Both are pure black outlines with no facial detail, the outlines clearly readable (the child's outstretched arms, the father's hat). 16:9.
04
Common pitfalls
- Fill light on the front of the person, so it's no longer a silhouette.
- The pose and outline aren't clear, so you can't tell what it is.
05
Parameter tips
The pose should be side-on or open so the outline reads; the brighter and cleaner the background, the better.
