Sample prompt · generate an image directly
The technique comes first, followed by the subject, scene, details and aspect ratio. Paste it straight into an image model and swap in your own subject.
Backlit shot, the light source directly behind the subject, hair and fine fuzz glowing with a halo, the front of the subject close to silhouette but keeping detail. In a reed marsh at dusk, a girl turns back with a smile, the setting sun hidden right behind her head, her hair ringed in gold. 3:2, slight lens flare, the face not dead black.
04
Common pitfalls
- The front is completely black and the face can't be recognized.
- The sun straight in the lens with nothing blocking it, a big glare washing out the image.

Parameter tips
Write “detail kept on the front of the subject” to avoid dead black; write lens flare if you want flares and no flare if you don't.
