Golden hour, warm low-angle sunlight raking in, long soft shadows, a slight golden haze in the air. On a dirt road beside a wheat field, a father carries his daughter on his shoulders on the way home, their shadows stretched long. She points into the distance and shouts, “Dad, look at the sun!” 5 seconds, natural warm light, not a wash of orange.
04
Common pitfalls
- So warm it oversaturates into orange-red, like a filter.
- The sun angle is written as overhead light, losing the long raking shadows.

Parameter tips
Spell out the low angle and long shadows; the lower the sun the warmer, and the best window is usually under an hour.
